Wah wah tiba-tiba skip bab abang long kahwin terus pergi ke semangat baru nak tulis pasal getaways la pulak. Semangat, cita-cita & berangan adalah seiring sejalan bagi aku hehe.
Ini cerita lama baru. Lama sebab nak cerita pasal 2012 punya, pastu baru sebab baru bulan lepas (April 2013) pergi semula Cameron Highlands dengan kawan-kawan tersayam.
Mula-mula Razmin ajak aku pergi Cameron Highlands lepas beraya kat Taiping tahun lepas aku macam skeptikal sikit. Aku macam "err..siries bang, cameron?". Sebab dalam kepala aku adalah jalan bersimpang siur, pening dan muntah. Tapi sangkaanku meleset sama sekali. Seronok sangat pergi CH. Siap pergi dua malam tuh.
THE HIGHWAY
Dari Taiping kami ambil exit Simpang Pulai, exit yang lebih ke utara dari KL, lebih kurang sejam dari Taiping. And bila pergi dengan kawan-kawan tersayam bulan lepas, kitorang amik exit Tapah sebab dah lagi dekat kan dengan KL and hotel pula book di Ringlet.
Taiping-Simpang Pulai exit-Tanah Rata : 3 jam (Tol tak ingat berapa, maaf)
Shah Alam (dari rumah Aishah)- Tapah exit-Ringlet : 2 jam (Tol Subang-Tol Tapah : RM19.80)
Jalan ke CH melalui Simpang Pulai adalah lebih santai dan tidak memeningkan langsung. Jalan baru yang luas, sebab tu lama sikit sebab bukit adalah ditarah untuk menjadi lebih landai maka kurang mendaki, jarak jadi lebih jauh.
Jalan ke Tapah pula seperti anda sedia maklum adalah jalan Amazing Race, sebab tu Aishah dan Riyadh tidur dan pening keduanya. Aku tak pening sebab aku yang drive, Atun pun tak pening sebab dia bergosip dengan aku. Maria & Fatin kereta asing dan mereka pun tidak pening kerana bergosip sesama sendiri.
HOTEL
Razmin book 2 hotel untuk 2 malam. Untuk malam pertama stay di De La Ferns Hotel. Dari Brinchang, this hotel situated on the way to Tanah Rata, on your left. Quite new and bilik not bad. Boleh tahan besar, service was good. Breakfast, bolehlaaa. Not that bad but surely can be improved. We booked via booking.com, price from RM350+ with breakfast for 2 kalau tak silap, since time tu musim raya and they consider it peak season but it was worth the price as we enjoyed our stay, and so did Riyadh. Budak baru nak dapat kaki time tu, habis semua bunga dia nak petik and makan.
For the second night, hubby surprised me with Cameron Highlands Resort,a hotel by the YTL brand. Being YTL, they never come cheap so memanglah mak terkezut. But it was a sweet gesture by my sweet husband, so thanks sayang :) RM550+ with breakfast for 2. The best hotel ever I must say! Situated exactly opposite the golf course.You are greeted by your name, and the room is perfect, tho the bathroom kecik sikit lah. Breakfast was superb! No buffet, ala carte but what more you need when the bread is freshly baked and the jem is homemade. Gila sedap! Memang feeling orang kaya, sian aku haha, tapi takde sorang pun pandang kerek kat kitorang hehe. Highly recommended!
With my darling girlfriends, we stay at The Lakehouse. This too, one of the best hotels I've stayed. Cantik sangat! Macam zaman kolonial. We stay at the Family Suite that came with two rooms, one with queen sized bed and two super single in the other room. RM855 nett with breakfast for four. Breakfast is nice. We enjoyed our stay sampai riyadh pun memang tak tidur langsung the whole day so akhirnya dia sendiri menyerah diri untuk tidur. Oh hotel ni kat Ringlet, on your way up to Tanah Rata. Tak berapa sejuk, you need the air cond placed in your room but tengah malam boleh tutup dahh. Unlike De La Ferns & CHR, takde aircond, ada kipas. But seriously, hotel ni cantik, and perhaps because I went there with my bestfriends, semua pun jadi seronok!
MAKAN
No problem at all. Cameron Highlands maa, bukan Hong Kong mahu pun Macau hehe. Tanah Rata banyak kedai makan. Just choose and pay. Deret gerai depan Starbucks at Tanah Rata is recommended for their nasi and lauk tomyam2 tu. Not the tomyam lah yang jadi igauan but the sayurrrrr. Fresh maaa, sedap nak mamps! Kailan ikan masin dia terangkat, rangups! And of course, the steamboat. Pergi dengan Razmin 2x makan steamboat. Maybe jadi sedap lain macam sebab kat sana sejuk so makan steamboat panas-panas feeling dia lain sikit hehe.
ACTIVITIES
Tea Plantation :
Ada dua boleh pergi. Kalau jalan dari/ke Tapah, bolehlah singgah Bharat Tea Plantation. Kalau dari/ke Simpang Pulai, bolehlah singgah di the famous Boh Tea Plantation. Ke Bharat jalan tak mencabar, betul-betul tepi jalan, but ke Boh di Sungei Palas memang Amazing Race lah but subhanallah cantik!! Not an avid tea lover, the tea all taste the same to me hehe. So not much review here. But the view in both plantations memang breathtaking, and I personally prefer Boh lagi :)
Pasar Brinchang.
I think this pasar only opens on weekend kot sebab time pergi dengan Razmin time weekday and takde pasar ni. Pergi dengan kawan-kawan tersayam on weekend so memang berbondong bondong lah borong sayur. We did not stop by at the Kea Farm sebab harga slightly mahal. Pasar Brinchang memang best. All the sayur, buah, bunga, even the foods pun sedap! Kitorang siap makan durian lagi haha. Freaking tourist :p
Strawberry Farm
And with my friends we only singgah at the Strawberry Farm to take a break from the heavy traffic on the way down to Simpang Pulai. Weekend kan. With Razmin we singgah the Avantgarde Chocolate Factory and had the most delicious strawberry-choc frap. Teringat sampai sekarang hehe.
Itu je lah kot hehe. Most of the time we just lazying around the great hotel we stayed. And I feel that good hotel mainkan peranan kat CH ni sebab nothing much you can do here, kalau pergi Genting tu amik hotel biasa pun tak apa sebab your aim is to pergi berjimba kan. Amik angin malam, sejuk2, lepak kat fireplace, amik-amik gambar sambil upload kat fesbuk and instagram hahaha. Mainstream maaa. And owh, we celebrated Atun's belated birthday at The Lakehouse :) and that was the main reason we went to CH, to celebrate the diva's birthday hehe. Hai Mak Ton :p
I will definitely pergi lagi Cameron Highlands for I love the beautiful scenery and the cold breeze but I will try my best untuk tak pergi time cuti sekolah for I heard it is super jam and hotel super mahal! And because I went there with my love ones, great memories are created :)
Akhir kata, pergilah cuti-cuti Malaysia, kerana Malaysia pun cantik. (dari saya yang tak mampu pergi London muahahaha)
